Elizabeth Keyte was baptised on 20th May 1832 at Broadway in Worcestershire, daughter of a dressmaker named Sarah Keyte, formerly Miles, and her husband William Keyte, a painter and glazier. She appears in the 1841 census living with her parents and siblings at High Street in Broadway.
Some time between 1841 and 1851 Elizabeth moved with her parents to the market town of Evesham. The 1851 census finds the family living on Port Street in the town, in the parish of Bengeworth St Peter. Elizabeth was following her mother's trade, also working as a dressmaker.
Elizabeth appears to have married a William Hughes some time between 1851 and 1861 and had a daughter Sarah in 1858 at Bledington in Gloucestershire. However, Elizabeth's husband died some time before 1861, and Elizabeth returned to live with her parents in Evesham. She had another son in Evesham in 1864, then moved back to Broadway with her parents some time before 1871.
Elizabeth has yet to be researched after 1871.
