Elizabeth Dingley was baptised on 28th June 1754 at Cropthorne in Worcestershire, daughter of Ann Dingley, formerly Loxley, and her husband Francis Dingley. In 1761, when Elizabeth was seven years old, her mother died.

On 8th January 1782, aged 27, Elizabeth married William Mannington (or Monington) at Cropthorne. At the time of their marriage he was living at Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire, about seventeen miles south-east of Cropthorne. It would appear that Elizabeth and William did not have any children.

In 1783 Elizabeth's father wrote his will, describing her as "Elizabeth now the wife of Mr William Mannington who has received her marriage portion". No further sightings have been found of William after that time. Elizabeth's father died in 1786.

In 1833, Elizabeth wrote her will. She made bequests to three of her nieces - Mary Darby (daughter of Elizabeth's late brother Samuel), Mary Lock and Margaret Shepherd (both daughters of her late sister Mary). The rest of her estate and the role of executor was given to her nephew Samuel Dingley, son of her late brother Samuel.

Elizabeth lived to the age of 80. She was buried on 31st March 1835 at Cropthorne.
