Facts and Events
Name Ann Dingley
Gender Female
Christening[1] 16 May 1752 Cropthorne, Worcestershire, England

Ann Dingley was baptised on 16th May 1752 at Cropthorne in Worcestershire, daughter of Ann Dingley, formerly Loxley, and her husband Francis Dingley, who owned land in the hamlet of Charlton in Cropthorne parish.

Ann has yet to be traced after her baptism. She is not mentioned in her father's will, which was written in 1783, which may suggest that she had died before then. One possibility is that she may have been the "Elizabeth Dinley" daughter of Francis and Ann buried at Cropthorne on 3rd April 1753, for whom no baptism record has been found. That said, there was an Ann Dingley of Charlton who married a William Bayley of Bristol at Cropthorne on 4th April 1793 (when this Ann would have been about 41), whose marriage was witnessed by Samuel Dingley and Mary Loxley, who would appear to be brother and sister of the Ann baptised in 1752.
