John Dingley was baptised on 11th April 1758 at Cropthorne in Worcestershire, son of Ann Dingley, formerly Loxley, and her husband Francis Dingley. John appears to have died as a baby, being buried just three months after his baptism.

    This burial record is from a film of Bishop's Transcripts for Worcester Diocese, and the notes for the film acknowledge that some parishes have been bundled in the wrong deaneries. It is considered more likely that the place was actually Cropthorne rather than anywhere in Staffordshire.
