Facts and Events
Name Francis Dingley
Gender Male
Christening[1][2] 27 Oct 1743 Cropthorne, Worcestershire, England

Francis Dingley was baptised on 27th October 1743 at Cropthorne in Worcestershire, son of Ann Dingley, formerly Loxley, and her husband Francis Dingley, who owned land in the hamlet of Charlton in Cropthorne parish. Francis has yet to be traced after his baptism. He is not named in his father's will, written in 1783, which may indicated that he had died before then. One possibility is that he was the Francis Dingley who appeared in the city of Worcester in 1769 and died there in 1781 having married twice and had four children, but had outlived both his wives.

Two close together entries, seemingly with no burial between them - considered likely to be the same child, with the later date perhaps indicating when received into the congregation.

ch. 9 Feb 1743 [presumably 9 Feb 1743/4], Cropthorne: Francis son of Francis & Anne Dingley

ch. 9 Feb 1744, Cropthorne: Francis son of Francis & Anne Pingley

Two very similar entries but a year apart - presumably one has left the double date in the old style calendar and the other updated it to the new.

Possible administration records which presumably relate to the Francis Dingley buried at St Martin's parish in Worcester on 16th November 1781:

Administration Francis Dingley of Worcester St Martin, 4 Oct 1799
