WEBSTER, Ebenezer, [s. George & Sarah], b. June 9, 1708
Ebenezer Webster born in Lebanon in 1708 is the 7th child, 6th son of George & Sarah Webster. He married Mehitable Thomas (parents unknown) in 1734 in Lebanon, raised his family, and died there. Records show he was admitted to full communion in the First Church, Lebanon in 1739 and to the Church at Goshen in 1742. Mehitable was admitted to First church in 1732. There are many land record showing buying and selling of land in the area and among the many Websters in Lebanon. Ebanezer quit-claimed to his brother Samuel the land he inherited from his father, George.
His date of death is not certain, but from the dates in the Probate records, it must have been in 1785 at age 77. Mehitable survived him. His will is in the Willimantic County Probate Records, dated 1784 & was probated in 1786. He gave to his wife, Mehitable; to his dau Abigail Fish; and to his granddaughter, Triphena Webster. Constituted his daughter, Abigail Fish as executrix. There were no sons, therefore one of the girls must have married a Webster, but nothing else is known.
The children were born in Lebanon and baptised at First Church. Continued in Chap 7 p.140 *Mehitable b.Jun 9, 1738 Nothing is known. *Lucy b.1742 d.1747 *Abigail b.Dec 21,1744, m.Samuel Fish. She was the executrix for her father's will. *Zerviah b.Feb 14,1746. Nothing is known. The End
