• Vol. 2 - Page 45.--21st November, 1772. Memorandum of agreement between Sampson and George Mathews with their servants, Denis Callahan, Mary Jackson, and John Welsh, viz: Said Callahan is to teach Mary in his art and mystery of britches-making, also John Welsh; the Mathews are to allow Denis the benefit of Mary's work for six months; Mary is to serve the Mathews 8 months after present time of service has expired.
