Obituaries for Dempsey Neal

SUDDEN DEATH OF DEMCY NEAL Succumbed to a heart attack while at work at the Davis Cooperage Co. Plant

  Demcy Neal, 42 years old, died suddenly about three o'clock Tuesday afternoon while at work at the Davis Cooperage Co. factory where he had been employed for the past twenty years.  Heart trouble was the cause of his death.
  Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, six children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neal, four brothers, Sam and Ralph Neal, of this city, Frank Neal, of Bedford, and Robert Neal of Indianapolis, and three sisters, Mrs. Austin McKee and Mrs. Ed Long, of this city, and Mrs. Roy Mowell, of Bedford.
  The funeral services will be held at the home south of town Thursday morning.  (The rest is unreadable, July 28, 1926 is hand written at the bottom)
  • OBITUARY
  Dempsey William Neal was the son of Robert and Mary Neal of Morgan County.  He was born June 7, 1884, and departed this life July 27, 1926, at the age of 42 years, 1 month and 20 days.
  He was united in marriage to Myrtle May Buckner February 1, 1907.  To this union were born seven children - Mrs. Louise Hicks, Robert, Meryle, James, Charles, Pauline and Ruth Neal who survive him.  He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, seven children, son-in-law, one grandson, mother, father, three sisters, four brothers, (one brother dying in infancy and one brother, Henry Neal preceding him in death 15 days before.)  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
