Overview

This "David Cowan (18)" appears in the 1724 tax assessment for Chester County, Pequea township, along with person:Henry Cowan (7) and person:David Cowan (15). By 1730 David (18) disappears from the record, as does Henry (7). The relationships between these Cowans are not clear, but available evidence points to David (18) being the father of David (15). Henry (7) may be either a brother of David (18) or another son. The following diagram shows one possible interpretation of their relationships, and known male line descendants.
