Moses Alexander bible (grandson of Asa Alexander, Sr.).

The most current and best information is from Patti Paine Andrews, Columbus Georgia in 1999, a descendant, with whom I correspond.

His birth information is from Patti Andrews, a descendant of Cullen's daughter; NSDAR applications #174821 & 580799; Georgia Pioneers pub. "Georgia Rev. Sold., Sailors Patriots & Desc., 1977", p5; Sarah Standifer's microfilm notes, LDS.

His marriages: 1st, Annie Matthews ("37,000 Early Georgia Marriages", Joseph T. Maddox & Mary Carter, p289), who died 28 Jul 1833. Their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, married her stepmother's brother, Hartwell Jones Wash December 1, 1841.

2nd, Louisa Wash, oldest daughter of William Whitten Wash and Amelia Jones. They had a son, William Asa Alexander, who was educated at a military school and joined as a 2nd Lt. in the Civil War and served in the Virginia Army.

He is buried Lowel Church Cemetery "near Pataula Creek near power plant on Creddles Mill", Clay Co., Georgia near the old homesite (as is 2nd wife Louisa Wash & sons Moses & James). The note of Sarah Standifer says he mar. 2nd time in Randolph, Clay Co (no state given but it would be Georgia). This would have been to Louisa Wash. Date of Jul 1865 is on an insert in Moses Alexander bible (son of Ezekiel who is mentioned above under mar.) written in hand of his Moses' wife. Same date given in typewritten article "The Ancestors and Desc. of Moses Alexander with Glances at his Kinfolk" George G. Smith, author of "Story of Georgia and the Georgia Peoples", no date of publication.
