Revolutionary War Pension Information

Information from “Virginia/West Virginia Genealogical Data from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Records”, Vol. 3, compiled by Patrick G. Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. :

McFall, Cornelius, born 8/1734 in County Antrim, Ireland; landed 1775 at port of Hampton, Virginia; settled in Augusta county, Virginia, where married; moved to Albemarle County, Virginia, where entererd service; granted Pension there in 1832; occupation weaver; died abt. 1883 there leaving widow mentioned but not named. F-S5753, R1680.

- these dates are obviously problematic, birth date likely s/b in 1744 [1830 Census indicates birthdate between 1741-1750], and date of death likely s/b 1833 [Ancestry has date of death as 1834 in Albemarle County, VA].
