  • Page 278.--8th May, 1773. Conrad Bloze's will--To wife, Mary Catrine; to son, John Adam; to son, George Jacob; to wife (son?), Valentine; to daughter, Eve Elizabeth. Executors, Jacob Mayer. Teste: Adam (mark) Hetrick, Archibald Huston, Rebeka Huston. Proved, 15th November, 1774, by Hetrick. Archibald and Rebecca are dead. Jacob Mayer refuses to execute. *Administration granted Mary Catherine, who qualifies with Anthony Ealer, Alvamous Bowyer, Jacob (mark) Bowyer.

Information on Conrad Bloss

Came to America from Germany. They travelled from Mannheim to Rotterdam, Holland, They then sailed on the ship Lydia which stopped at Cowes, England for six weeks and three days on the landing at Philadelphia about 10 Oct 1749. This ship had persons from Wurttemberg, Durlach, Zweibrucken and the Palantinate. He took the oath of Alliegence on 19 Oct 1749.
Note: He first went to New Hanover, Northampton Co., Pa and then moved to Elkton, (now Rockingham Co., Va)
Note: George Conrad may be from Manheim near Koln in Nordrhein-Westfalen or Mannheim in Wurttemberg. He is quite possibly George Conrad Ploss born 23 Mar 1709 in Enzweihingen,Wurttemberg.
Note: Patented a tract of 56 acres, 13 perches of land in Heidleberg Twsp, Northampton Co., Pa warrented on 13 May 1750.
Note: Patented a tract of 139 acres called Mannheim warrented on 19 Oct 1751
Note: Patented a tract of 58 acres called Berlin warrented 9 April 1767
Note: All above three tracted were patented on 10 April 1767.
Note: Was a farmer on the Heidelberg Township,Northampton County, Pa tax list in 1772 2 3
