Early Land Acquisition in Virginia
Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants:
- M-43: Benjamin Kuykendall of Hampshire Co., 400 acres adj. John Kuykendall on Mill Creek of South Branch of Potomack River in said County. Surv. Mr. David Vance. 10 Sept. 1762. [Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants, 1742-1775, Vol. 2, Gertrude E. Gray, pg. 144].

- Page 284 - 22nd February 1750. Benj. Kerkendall's bond as administrator of John Mills, with sureties Anthony Bogart, Jno. Dunbar.
- Page 485.—Privy examination of Ann, wife of Jacob Reed, of Hampshire County, deed 15th-16th August, to Alex Love, 375 acres, taken 12th October, 1763, by Benj. Kuykendale and Felix Seymore.

- At a Court Continued and held for Yogohania County May 26th, 1777.
- Present William Crawford, Benjamin Kirkindall, John McDaniel and Oliver Miller, Gentlemen Justices - the aforesaid William Crawford and John McDaniel being Previously sworn by the aforesaid Benjamin Kirkindall and Oliver Miller, Gentlemen Justices.
- Benjamin Kirkindall (otherwise called Jorsey Ben*) is appointed Constable to Serve in the Ensuing year, and that he be Summoned before Oliver Miller, Gentleman, to Qualify into said Office.
- - Not the Gentleman Justice, but another Benjamin.
