Ann Goodman was baptised on 20th March 1804 at Willen in Buckinghamshire, daughter of Elizabeth Goodman, formerly Binks, and her husband Henry Goodman, a labourer.

On 18th May 1830, aged 26, Ann married William Harris at Willen. Ann's father died the following year.

Ann and William went on to have eight children together between 1831 and 1846, although at least two died as infants, whilst one daughter died aged thirteen in 1855 and their youngest son died aged nineteen in 1865.

The 1841 census finds Ann, William and their children living at Willen, along with Ann's mother. William was working an agricultural labourer. Ann's mother died in 1843.

By 1846 the Ann and William had left Willen and moved to the neighbouring town of Newport Pagnell, where William was from. Each census from 1851 to 1871 finds William, Ann and some of their children living at Abbey End there. William worked variously as an agricultural labourer and market gardener, whilst Ann was a lacemaker and laundress.

William died in 1871, when he was said to be 69 years old.

The 1881 census finds Ann and a lodger living at 23 Priory Street in Newport Pagnell.

Ann died in 1883, aged 79.
