Land Survey in Augusta County, Virginia:

• Page 244 - Robert and Andrew Nicholl, 270 acres, Moffett's Branch. November 25, 1774. [Abstract of Land Grant Surveys, 1761-1791, Augusta & Rockingham Counties, Virginia, by Peter Cline Kaylor, pg. 86]. (Note: As neither Robert or Andrew had reached adulthood in 1774, it is likely that the surveys were done in conjunction with their father's death in 1774, and then conveyed to them when they reached legal age).

Andrew Nickle (no kinship given) commanded company of Virginia militia; affidavit 1833 in Monroe County, Virginia, by Samuel Clark, Robert Coalter, Henry Alexander & clergyman William Adair. [Note: Isaac Nickell was the older half-brother of this Andrew Nickle].
