  • Vol. 1 - APRIL 1, 1747. - (191) Rebecca Hays, Isabella Taylor, Sarah Paxton, Elizabeth Davis, Mary McClung, Agnes Gray, Esther Lyle, Agnis McClure, Catherine McNabb, Jane Hall, Prudence Campbell, Elizabeth McCroskie and Hannah Miller appeared and their husbands recognized that they appear at May Court to testify against Rebecca Buchanan, Jr., and Senr., Mary Ann Campbell and Ruth Buchanan. John Carmichael also recognized. (Note: Catherine McNabb was Andrew McNabb's wife, as mentioned in the next record).

2. 1746-1747 Augusta Co Va., child sworn to by Martha Allison. Order Book #1 pg 23 Apr 14 (Note from Lynne: There is a Kate Allison who is married to Alexander Henry. See Henry Family in the index.)
3. Apr 1, 1747 and May 20 1747, Catherine, wife of Andrew McNabb, is recognized to appear as witness in the murder trail of Rebecca Buchanan.
4. 1749, 20 Jun: page 612: for 15 shillings, 138 A in Augusta Co Va, on a branch of Tees Creek, called Back Creek: adj. Borden's Great Tract
5. 1750, 12 Feb-Augusta Co Va., Andrew McNabb deeds to John Gilmer 138A on Back Creek of Tees Creek, a branch of Kerr's and adj. Line of Borden's Great Tract, for 5 shillings. Test: John McKown, Moses McKown, and Frances McKown.
6. Connected to the McCown (McKown) family, and the Henry family in both Augusta Co Va, later in SC.
7. Very likely this is the Andrew McNabb that leaves Augusta Co Va about 1750 for Anson Co NC. This land later is in Mecklenburg Co NC and Tryon Co NC . Because of the border dispute between NC and SC, this land is included in Camden District SC, and later York Co SC. He may have a son John that is Rev. War soldier from SC and later in Caldwell Co Ky. Other descendents may be in Roane Co Tenn in 1800-1820.
NOTE: only the land entries are proof of the children relationships, where noted. Other children are not proven, only by living in the same county around the same people. The relationship with William and Patt McNabb is not proven.
