Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 200.--19th March, 1747. Benj. Borden, &c., &c., to Alexander McClure (sold to Alexander in lifetime of Benjamin); 266 acres for £7.13.0, part of 92,100 acres on Mill Creek corner to Isaac Taylor. Witnessed and acknowledged as above.
- Page 574.--16th May, 1764. Same (John ( ) McClure and Mary) to Alexander McClure, £10, 11 acres, 3 rods, on Northeast Branch of James River, beginning at a pysimon. Delivered: Alex. McClure, June, 1778. (Note: John McClure was Alexander McClure's brother).
- Page 68.--14th August, 1775. Francis ( ) Allison and Hannah ( ) Allison, his mother, to Alexander McCluer, Sr. Delivered: Halbert McClure, son of Alexander McCluer. 10th October, 1793.
