- "Processioning" was the process or periodically reviewing and agreeing upon property lines between settlers. Processioning Lists can be useful in determining the area of a settler and the neighboring settlers at a specific time period:

An Alexander Collier was one of three sworn appraisers of the estate of James Crutchfield in Lincoln Co, Ky in 1788.
He and Sarah sold land on Sugar Creek in Lincoln Co, Va on 21 Jul 1789. On 15 Nov 1796, Alex and Sarah sold 107 acres to Robert Collier.
In 1812 Alexander Colyier sold 134 acres of land in Garrard Co, Ky on Sugar Cr to son Aaron.
On 15 Jan 1839, John and Jane Huffman sold their interest in a land patent on Sugar Creek that they had inherited from William Huffman and Moses Collier. William Huffman and Moses Collier had inherited the interest in the land patent from Alexander Collier. They sold to Aaron Collier, Jr
