Nathan Patterson's will, freeholder--Wife, Isabell; sons, John, Mathew, Robert (John is oldest), Mathew 2d; daughter, Isabell; daughter, Sarah; daughter, Martha. Executors, wife, John Wilson, Robert Campbell. Teste: Robert Campbell, Mathew Wifson, Wm. Wilson. Proved, 21st May, 1752, by Robt. Campbell and Wm. Wilson, and to lie for further proof, and executors qualify, with surety Alexander Richey.

Patterson (Pattison) Mathew Mathew (1) 2 423 1779 Delinquents, Augusta County Levy for 1779:... John Patterson, one wrong charged... 'Mathew Patterson, gone;; most likely Mathew (1) of the Irish Pattriarch line, as others in that line are shown as "gone" about this time.

Mathew Pattison and Jane to Robert Pattison, brother of Mathew, conveyed to Nathan Pattison, father of Mathew and Robert, by Beverley, 24th July, 1740 (recorded in Orange), part of the tract was devised to Mathew and John, elder brother of Mathew, who died without rites stan ( ?) and his part descended to Mathews. Marhew (5) is the only Mathew Patterson in the area known to have had a brother Robert. HIs father was Nathaniel Patterson

James Patterson's will, far advanced in years--To sons, Joseph and Mathew; daughter, Elizabeth Gray; to granddaughter, Elin Henderson, daughter to Archibald Henderson. (This will recorded p. 150, supra) recorded there as to personal estate. Now, 26th April, 1809, proved by deposition of Robert Young, taken in Montgomery County, Ohio, corporation of Dayton, before William McClure, president of the corporation, 13th August, 1808.

Recorded Orange County, 28th June, 1739. Same to Nathaniel Patterson, 1740. Recorded in Orange, 24th June, 1740. Same, Mathew Pattison and Jane, of Augusta, to Robert Pattison, brother of Mathew. Only Matthew (5) had a brother Robert.

Hickey provide a slave in lieu); to son Joseph's sons, Joseph and James. Executors, Jno. Dickey, Jno. Bell. Teste: James Young, Francis Brown, Robert Young. Proved, 29th September, 1807. Executors qualify.
