1677, both d. soon; Sarah, again, 24 or 29 Sept. 1678; Samuel, 24 Nov.
1679, d. soon; John, again, 10 Jan. 1681; Nathaniel, 29 June 1682, d.
soon; Isaac, 5 Nov. 1683; Benoni, 13 Feb. 1683, d. at 4 yrs.; Mary,
25 Apr. 1687, d. soon; Mary, again, 20 Aug. 1688, d. soon; Abigail, 8
Apr. 1690, d. very soon; and Nathaniel, again, 28 Mar. 1694, d. at 8
yrs.; and the f. wh. in Oct. 1704 call. his age 65, d. 18 July 1711.
JAMES, Boston, carpent. had come from Plymouth in O. E. with s.
Francis, not long bef. mak. his will, 2 Oct. 1662, pro. same mo. Such
is the opin. natural. deriv. from refer. to his s. James and w. Dousabel,
remain. at home, and subseq. action of Ct. JAMES, Malden, had John,
b. a. 1653, beside Henry, Samuel, and Job, but some of these may
have been b. at Falmouth on Casco Bay, whither he rem. a. 1658,
says Babson, 111, and there was k. by the Ind. * JOB, Rehoboth 1644,
was in Eng. in June 1647, when his kinsm. Thomas Howell, of Marshfield,
made his will, nam. him to be excor. but he declin. that trust, yet
aft. some yrs. came back, and sett. at Malden, freem. 1656, had by w.
Sarah, wh. d. 19 May 1659, Rebecca, b. Apr. 1658, d. young. He m.
Sept. 1660, Hannah, or Ann, d. of Rev. John Reyner, had John, b.
Oct. 1661; Ann, Sept. 1662, d. in few wks.; Jemima, 19 Aug. 1666;
Dorothy, 24 July 1669; and Rebecca, again, 6 Apr. 1674; rem. to
Billerica, was rep. 1676, 9, and for Malden 1685, and under the new
chart. in 1692. His will is of 28 Sept. 1696, and he d. 23 Aug. foll.
His wid. d. 30 Apr. 1704. From the will we learn that he had other
ds. Mary, w. of William Avery, wh. with ch. Mary and Sarah, are
rememb.; Eliz w. of Robert Avery (m. 13 Apr. 1676), with her d.
Rachel; ano. Ann, w. of James Foster of Dorchester; and Sarah, w. of
Samuel Fitch; and that Jemima m. Matthew Whipple; and Dorothy
m. 24 Nov. 1693, Edward Sprague. JOHN, Milford 1640, perhaps, or
soon aft. had good est. freem. 1665, d. 1669, leav. will made that yr.
JOHN, Boston 1674, cordwainer. JOHN, Hingham, s. of George, 1674,
carpent. m. 18 June 1674, Mehitable Hobart, whose f. is unkn. had
Samuel, b. 16 Mar. 1678; Priscilla, 15 Mar. 1680; Mary, 3 Apr.
