1667, Joanna, d. of William Sprague of Hingham, and first sett. at Dedham,
had Richard, b. 26 Dec. 1668, d. soon; Ruth; Lydia, 4 July 1671;
Caleb, 16 Dec. 1673; Joshua, 12 June 1675; Deborah, wh. d. young;
rem. to W. and had there Isaac, and Rebecca, tw. 27 June 1678; and
his w. d. two weeks after. He was freem. 1690, many yrs. a selectman,
and rep. 1713. Bond has not mark. his time of d. CORNELIUS, Groton,
m. 4 June 1670, Mary, whose surname is not kn. was of Charlestown
1680, but went back to G. and d. 2 Dec. 1697. DAVID, Watertown,
youngest s. of Garrett, by w. Mary had John, bapt. 6 Nov. 1687; and
Sarah, 6 Oct. 1689; was then an innholder, and prob. rem. soon after to
Marlborough. EDWARD, Norwalk 1654, s. of Richard of Hartford, b.
in Eng. 1628, had perhaps been some time bef. at New Haven, rem. to
Hatfield, was there deac. had eight ch. or more, of wh. Mary, b. 17 Nov.
1656, m. 1679, Philip Russell, as his third w.; Rebecca m. 1677, Joseph
Selden
; and Hepzibah m. 16 Sept. 1696, Samuel Spencer. FRANCIS, New
Haven 1642--44, of wh. I hear no more. GARRETT, or JARED, Watertown
1637, was b. 1611, freem. 1649, by w. Sarah had John, b. 10 Mar.
1638; Samuel, 12 June 1640; Sarah, 10 Mar. 1643; Mary, 15 May
1644; Jonathan, 13 Dec. 1646; and David, 1 Sept. 1657. JOHN, Hartford,
s. of Richard of the same, m. 27 Oct. 1657, Sarah, d. of Richard
Beckley
, was freem. 1658, and d. 1691, then hav. ten ch. liv. acc.
Hinman, 124 with 258; viz. Richard; Sarah Knight, w. of George;
John; Mary Standish; Ruth; Samuel; Ann, aged 18; Elizabeth 17; Joseph,
15; and Deliverance, 12. JOHN, Dover 1662, at Salisbury m. 29
Nov. 1664, Abigail, d. of John Severance, had Jonathan, b. 12 Apr.
1666; John, 12 Apr. 1668; Ebenezer, 25 Apr. 1670; and Abigail, 12
Aug. 1672; was tak. by the Ind. in the war of 1689, and escap. but was
k. 7 May 1696 by them near his own ho. Belkn. I. 141. JOHN,
Dover, s. of the preced. by w. Mary had Abigail, b. 5 May 1703; John,
1 Apr. 1704; Elizabeth 2 Apr. 1706; Jonathan, 25 July 1708; and Mary,
4 Aug. 1710. He was k. next yr. by the Ind. JOSEPH, Hingham, br.
prob. of capt. Benjamin, m. Dec. 1660, Mary, d. of John Tucker of the
same, had, says Geneal. Reg. XI. 154, seven ch. but only six, Joseph,
John, Deborah, Mary, Elizabeth and Abigail, have been heard of. He rem. to
Little Compton, there his w. d. 21 Mar. 1710, aged 69, and he d. 5 Mar.
foll. in 73d yr. NATHANIEL, Scituate, br. of Benjamin, m. Sarah Barstow,
d.of William the first, had Abigail, b. 1666; Richard, 1668; Nathaniel,
1670; Alice, 1679; Joseph, 1681; Charles, 1683; and Sarah, 1686.
