Wigmore Rural District in Herefordshire shared its northern border with the county of Shropshire. In 1930 it merged with Leominster Rural District to become Leominster and Wigmore Rural District.

For the most part parishes in Wigmore Rural District were previously located in Wigmore Hundred, but the border of the rural district did not follow that of the earlier hundred.
