We do not know the identity of William's wife, but he had at least one son James and William may have been alive in 1841. This knowledge comes from the will with codicils executed by William Hooper's sister Nancy Hooper (wife of Robert Ferguson) in 1841, probated in 1847. She bequeathed part of her estate to the son for care of his father. James may have been in Alabama.(Col. George Hooper Narrative by Marilyn Symonds)
