The 1850 Buckingham Census shows a George S. Hooper was living with the William Moseley family. It also shows he was 16 years old. See above: This George S. Hooper resided in Greene County (now Hale County)Alabama at the time of his death in 1834. Orphans Court Records, Book "D", Gandrud Vol. 180, Greene County, Ala.Records. (page 63 ) Nancy T. (S.) Hooper, relinquishes her right to administer on estate of her husband, George S. Hooper deceased. On application of Jeremiah Whitworth that he is appointed guardian for Joshua E., aged 4 years and George F., aged 2 years, minor heirs of George S. Hooper deceased. 26 Jan. 1835.
