The 1850 Buckingham Census shows a George S. Hooper was living with the William Moseley family. It also shows he was 16 years old.

(page 63 ) Nancy T. (S.) Hooper, relinquishes her right to administer on estate of her husband, George S. Hooper deceased. On application of Jeremiah Whitworth that he is appointed guardian for Joshua E., aged 4 years and George F., aged 2 years, minor heirs of George S. Hooper deceased. 26 Jan. 1835. (Thus, this George S. Hooper did not live until 1840). (I am the 2nd Great Grandson of Nancy Hooper, Ron L.     D.N.A. testing of his descendent, Ron L.Hooper of Texas reveals George was a descendent of Col. George Hooper of Buckingham County. More to the point...he was probably a son of John, William, Benjamin or possibly James, all sons of Col. George and Elizabeth Hooper.
