William [Flynt's] will was probated in Albemarle Co., VA, 5 February 1810.William was apparently the son of Richard Flynt's last wife Mary Muse as he was not included in his father's deed of gift made just before the marriage. After the death of his father, Richard, Mary was named his guardian.William's brother Richard was made his guardian in 1754 after Mary and her new husband Cyperus (Zeporus) Degge were accused of misuse of William.Under his father's will, William received 20 acres adjoining Moore fauntleroy's mill and young slaves named Isaac, Jamima, and Grace. He probably accompanied his brother Richard to Culpeper Co, Va., but he settled in nearby Albemarle Co, Va. where he lived until his death.
The inventory of his estate included the following slaves: Cyrus, Harry, Samuel, James, Judith, Maud, Jacob, Letty, Jamima, and grace. The last two were probably ones that he had inherited from his father.
