Troy R. Arbogast, age 88 of Pearl Street, Grafton, WV passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at his residence.

He was born January 17, 1922 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Walter R. and Eva Arbogast.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia I. (McPherson) Arbogast; two daughters, Nancy Lou Hussion and husband Thomas Hussion, of Grafton and Carol Ann Cunningham and husband, Ronald L. Cunningham of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren, Anthony James Hussion, Jennifer L. Robinson, Wendy Cunningham, Shannon Floyd, Stephanie McClellan, and Aaron Cunningham; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Swecker of Valley Head, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, John Paul Hussion; five brothers, Orval, Keith, Raymond, Junior, and Fred Arbogast; and one sister, Lillian Dodrill.

Mr. Arbogast served in the US Navy during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He worked at Carr China in Grafton, was a mechanic at the WV Dept. of Highways, and retired from Kalo Motors in Grafton.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Military graveside services will be accorded at the WV National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 by the VFW Post 3081, Taylor County American Legion #24, D.A.V. Chapter #12, their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Guard of Kingwood. Chaplin Randy Jennings will be officiating.
