Orval D. Arbogast, 73, a resident of Valley Head, died at 11;55a.m. Friday, April 12, at Davis Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Valley Head, a son of the late Walter R. and Eva E.Arbogast.
On Oct. 14, 1937, in Elkins, he was married to the former Ruth Ware, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Troy D. Arbogast, Covington, Va., and Roger Arbogast, Valley Head; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Maxine)Davidson, Stanleytown, Va., three brothers, Troy Arbogast, Grafton, Keith Arbogast, Huttonsville, and Freddie Arbogast, Valley Head,; two sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Lillian) Dodrill and Mrs. Autumn (Edith)Swecker. both of Valley Head. and six grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Arbogast was a disabled coal miner and had worked for 17 years in the Hickory Lick Mine at Monterville. He was a member of District 31, Local 6915 of the United Mine Workers of America and a Protestant.
