My grandfather, Carl, had brothers named Walter and John (I'm not sure how many more). Walt married Aunt Ada, lived and died in Texas. Uncle John, we called "Pedro," he never married and lived his last years with my grandma & grandpa in Colorado. Grandpa had a sister named Clytie, who married a Walter WHITESIDE or WHITESIDES. I think they lived in Oklahoma. His sister, Belle, married a WARD. Belle and her husband, along with my grandpa & grandma homesteaded in Baca County, Colorado, about 1916. --Cyd Pierce, e-mail, February 20, 2000

Mother says that either Grandpa Carl was born in Jack County and brother John "Pedro" was born in Wise County -- or the other way around -- but it was all in the same house. Apparently, they built onto the house and it must have straddled the county line. So one was in one bedroom and the other was in the other bedroom. --Cyd Pierce, e-mail February 26, 2000

Tuck and PJ are buried in Grissom Cemetery, Washita Co., OK. Today, it is overgrown and unaccessible.
