Bickle sometimes spelled Bickley. Sister=Mary (Mrs.John) Green. Sophia may have been born in IN, not OH (see Warren Co.,IN census). Marriage date may be 3 Apr 1862. See Warren County, IA Courthouse Marriage Book A record: Braught, Lorenzo M. to Sophia Bickle 3 Apr. 1862. 

   Noting birthplaces of children it is obvious that this family moved periodically and it seems that they moved from IA to KS, then back to IA, and again back to KS.  Daughter Bea related that her mother said that they sold their farm on Neosho River and returned to IA the first time due to typhoid fever epidemic.  Later they had a farm sale in Iowa and came to an 80 acre farm near Montana, KS when Esther Lucretia was 18.
  Notes of Connie McGruder interview with Hazel state that Sophia was the Braught family hired girl when she married Lorenzo.  Interesting that family of David Braught, Sr. could afford a hired girl around 1860.
  See 1905-1908 fragile family photo where Esther (she is in the photo) wrote some names on the photo face.  See very clear 1888 photo (photocopy from Connie McGruder) of Sophia and daughter Esther L.  A family Bible once owned by Esther Braught stated that Sophia's parents were Dutch from Holland (sometimes folks misunderstand "Deutsch" and "Pennsylvannia Dutch" to mean Dutch when they are actually German).

May 1997 Email from Sharon Rickerson, 6126 Brace, Detroit, MI 48228 requesting my Bickle/Bickel data, which I sent. She has provided some data of that family in her records, mentioning that most were connected to Meigs County, OH. See my 32c2 folder for her Email note (rickerson@pipeline.com). I have found the relationship of those people to Sophia Bickle recorded here, but save this data for future potential uses.
