Rose Grant was baptised on 1st December 1872 at Sidlesham in Sussex, daughter of a charwoman named Julia Grant, formerly Lambard, and her husband Thomas Grant, a brewery labourer and fisherman. She appears in the 1881 and 1891 census living with her parents and siblings at Sidlesham. She has yet to be researched after 1891.
