Margaret Grant was baptised on 13th February 1876 at Sidlesham in Sussex, daughter of a charwoman named Julia Grant, formerly Lambard, and her husband Thomas Grant, a brewery labourer and fisherman. She appears in the 1881 and 1891 censuses living with her parents and siblings in Sidlesham.
Margaret's mother died in 1897, when Margaret was 21 years old. Margaret continued to live with her widowed father. By 1901 they were living at nearby Selsey, and Margaret was described as a housekeeper. They later returned to Sidlesham, where Margaret and her father were living in 1911.
Margaret has yet to be traced after 1911.
