[edit] Information on Philip Dieter11. Philip7 Dieter (Johann George6, Hans Johann Michael5, Wolfgang4, Michael3, Michael2, Quirinus1) was born Bet. 1735 - 1736 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and died 1815 in Germany Valley, Pendelton County, West Virginia. He married Susanna Henkle Abt. 1770 in Pendelton County, West Virginia, daughter of Johann Henckel and Maria Eschmann. She was born October 16, 1747 in Upper Milford Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and died Bef. 1810 in Germany Valley, Pendelton, West Virginia. Philip Teter was born about 1743, probably in Orange County Virginia He also lived in Rowan County North Carolina, and removed, from there as a young man with his brothers about 1760 and settled in Augusta County Virginia Philip Teter lived some ways farther up the North Fork valley than his brother Paul, and nearer Justus Henkel and his family. Indeed his home property seems to have adjoined that of Justus Henkle. On Dec. 17, 1771, Philip Teeter had surveyed 118 acres, described as being "on the east side of the North Fork, above the head of Deep Spring" (Augusta County Survey Book 2. page 191) Source: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/r/o/b/N-Roberts-NM/GENE1-0009.html#CHILD10 |
