On the 1850 census, age 3, with parents Marion Twp., Hocking Co., Oh.[p 853 fam # 191/196] On the 1860 census, age 14, with parents there.[p 157 1027/1015] On the 1900 census, Marion Twp., Hocking Co., Oh., we find Peter, 52, a farmer. Wife Mary, 53, is caring for niece Minnie, 13, b. Dec 1886. Since no name given, probably Minnie Daubenmire. Mary declares they have been married 32 years and she has born no children.[ED 32, p 115B, fam #165/165] In 1910 Peter, 63, is still farming in Marion Twp. Wife Mary, 63, declares they have been married 41 years and she has born no children.(Was Jacob adopted, or did the transcriber make a mistake?)[ED 88, p 7B/8A, fam #138/137]
