    Norton Webster, a farmer, married Jermina Hopkins in Clarendon.She was the daughter of Abner & Lydia (Wickwire)Hopkins. They lived & raised their family there, dying nearby in Holley and both are buried in Hillside Cemetery. He died at age 59 and she remarried after 1875 to Timothy Carr

    He wrote his will in 1872 & it was probated in Apr 1873. He left his house & lot in Village of Holley, in town of Murray to his widow Jemima plus all the goods, furnishings & crockery. To her also $2000 plus a yearly payment of $100. The farm in Clarendon (70 acres) and everything else went to his only son, Harrison N. Webster.

    1850 Census for Clarendon, NY Roll #575 p.335 shows Norton 37, & Jemina 26, farmer, with 2 children: Harrison 5 & Sylphia 1. Living with them is Norton's mother, Ruth Webster, 75, widow & 2 children of his brother Truman's children: Corydon 16 & Angeline 11, both b.MI.

    1855 State Census for Clarendon shows Norton, 40, b.Oneida & Jermina 31, and Harrison, 10, & Jerrit, 3 are still in Clarendon farming. Ruth Webster, 80, mother, b.CT. is with the household..

    1875 State Census, Jermima 51, widow of Norton, living in Murray with niece, Emma Hurd, 19. In Clarendon is her son Harrison 30, farmer, & Emma 29 with 2 little sons.

Harrison was very active in the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Holly, NY., serving as Steward and Trustee for many years.In 1905 Harrison & Louise lived in Rochester, NY. They had 3 children survive to adulthood (2 sons). In 1903 Clark Eugene b.1874, postal clerk, lived in Syracuse, NY & Hugh Wesley, b.1881, a grocer, lived in Rochester, NY
