    Notes for Moses Quarles:
    His mother-in-law Margeret Linton left him a legacy of slaves in her will dated 19 Oct 1732 in Prince William co (1). 26 June 1749, Moses discharged Col Thomas Harrison from all claims due to Moses from the estate of John Quarles (2).

    Notes for Seth Linton:
    19 Oct 1732, Seth is mentioned in a transaction involving the slaves of her mother Margeret Linton (1).In it, Seth is mentioned as having been the wife of Moses Quarles (1), and some slaves were bequeathed to her daughter Jane Quarles if she survived Margeret Linton (1). Since Seth herself is only mentioned but there are no bequests to her, it may be assumed that Seth died before 1723.
