Mary Jane Ross, daughter of Morris and Mary (Pangborn) Ross was born on 1 September 1817 in New York state. She was married to Berthier Stork in Branchport (Yates County), New York. Berthier was a farmer. In 1838, the family moved to Walworth County, Wisconsin and moved again, in 1868 to Winthorp (Buchanan County), Iowa. Berthier Stork was born on 2 September 1811 at Otsego County, New York and died on 10 May 1898 at Collins, Iowa. Mary died in 1889 at Winthrop, Iowa .
