Abigail Ross, daughter of Morris and Mary (Pangborn) Ross was born on 11 March 1810, in New Jersey. She married Stephen Townsend. Stephen was born around 1805 in New York state. By 1850 they were living in Geneva Township (Walworth County),Wisconsin and may have later lived in Iowa. This line is thoroughly discussed in The Ross Family of New Jersey by Robert L. Ross.
