They lived in Bradley County, Redland Twp., Eagle Creek P> O> She died November 14, 1919 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Hudson, in Calhoun County Southeast of Fordyce. She is buried in Williams Cemetary in Bradley County." 1 Martha Ann is listed in her father's estate in Ga Wills 1733-1850 Clarke Co Will Book C page 185; from this we surmise that she was married. He was twenty-six and was said to be the youngest mayor of any major American city. He declined renomination as mayor in 1921. Sixty-four Texas mayors proposed he be nominated as the next Texas governor, but he declined , noting he was legally underage for that office. Presidential Elector, 1917."
