He graduated from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, (about 1887), from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Northfield, Minn., C.T. 1890, and from the Mt. Airy Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, Pa., C.T. 1891. He also attended the National School of Elocution and Oratory, Philadelphia, Pa., 1890-91. He was ordained as pastor by Rev. G. Hoyme 1891 and served as Missionary Pastor in Chicago, one year. He was instructor and Field Secretary at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., 1892-95. He was pastor at Hatton, N.D. 1895-1902, Ashland, Wis. 1902-1910, Houston, Minn. 1910-12, LaCrosse, Wis. 1910-13, Black River Falls, Wis. 1912-24, and Toledo, Ohio, 1924-34. He was Hospital Pastor, Toledo, Ohio 1934-35 and vacationed in Miami, Florida, 1935-38. He was resident director Camp Norge, New York City, N.Y. 1939-41. In 1941 he was Hospital Pastor, Brooklyn, N.Y. He and his wife toured parts of Europe in 1905. He was secretary of the eastern district N.L.C. of America for twelve years. He died at Ebenezer Home in Minneapolis, Minnesota of heart trouble. (delete from book) *********** His first name is sometimes spelled "Lauritz". His obituary in the "Decorah Posten", 8 Nov 1951, states (in Norwegian). Died 22 Oct 1951 at Ebenezer home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Buried 24 Oct 1951 Immanuel Church in Story City, Iowa. Born 21 Dec 1866 in Morris, Illinois. attended Fresventerte Captital University, Northfield Seminary, and Mt. Zion seminary. Ordained in 1891. Served in Chicago; Hatton, North Dakota; La Crosse, Wisconsin; Black River Falls, Wisconsin; and Toledo, Ohio. Survived by wife Katherine Jemne and daughter.
