Eileen Steele Woldshen said Vina worked for the Steeles and that is how she met her husband. She and most her family are Pentacostal and she moved to the Salisbury District after her husband died.

Obituary MRS LAVINA ESTALLA STEELE

 Mrs. Lavina Estelle Steele passed away in Neepawa Memorial Hospital on March 20 after a short illness.  The funeral service was held March 26 in White's Funeral Chapel with Rev. L. Preston officiating.  Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Murray Hunter, Graham, Hunter, Sidney Arnold, James Campbell, George Smith and Joe Paskiewicz.
 Born in Echo County, Michigan, August 16, 1891, Mrs. Steel came to Canada with her parents in 1901.  Her marriage to John Steele of Mayfeld took place November 18, 1908, and spent all her life in the McCreary, Riding Mountain and Neepawa districts.
 Mrs. Steele was a member of Calvary Chapel Assembly.
 She is survived by two sons, Reg of Neepawa and Gordon of St. Vital; four daughters, Mrs. William Woloshen, Mrs. Peter Woloshen, of Neepawa, Mrs. John Wastle of Hilton and Mrs. Albert Green of Brandon; also ten grandchidlren and eight great grandchildren.
 Mrs. Steele was predeceased by her husband in 1928 and one son, Norman, was killed in 1944 during the Second World War.
