Her middle name in the birth record is DeEtta, and her cousin Hattie Murphy's middle name was also 'DeEtte'. In the funeral memorial card it is' Deat'. Her granddaughter, Joan Conley, said that Clara asked, at age 88, to change her middle name because she never liked it. She also asked that her last name be McKee, the name of her favorite husband. Joan said Clare had been married four times.

Obituary MC KEE, CLARA DEAT

 On March 22, 1983 Mrs. Clara Deat McKee of Burnaby, B.C., formerly of Half Moon Lake, passed away at the age of 95 years.
 She is survived by three sons, Chester of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Howard and James, both of Edmonton; four daughters, Hazel of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Aileen of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Zetta of Burnaby, B.C., and Lorella of Houston, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Hosler of Viking and numerous nieces and nephews.
 Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 1983 at 1:00 p.m. at Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel with Reverend Gerry deVries officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so on Monday, March 28, 1983 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel.  If friends so desire donations to the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.  Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. 10541 81 Avenue Phone 432-1714.
