Facts and Events
In the 1860 census, there was a Jesse Turner, age 24, living in the household of Jesse Raper in Cherokee Co., NC (county adjoins Fannin & Union Co., GA). Next door was Elizabeth Raper, age 29 with three children; Jackson (7), Martha (5) and Thomas M. (3) and Matilda Tilson (26). In the 1870 Union County, GA census, living next door to Lavinia Patterson and 3 households from Bailis Turner, Jesse's father) is Elizabeth Turner (age 31) with Martha M. (15); thomas (14) James (8) [could be Jesse's son??] Mary J. (6 (could be Jesse's) and Alonzo (infant). Whose are these?? Also there is an Elizabeth Turner buried at the Glade on the same row as Bailus Murray Turner, but set to itself. The dates on it are 1829-1927.
