This is how I show the line to go: William Ledgerwood b. abt 1705 married Agnes Mitchell bought land in Orange VA 13 sep 1738 possibly moved from PA and orignally from Ireland. Their children were: Agnes, Martha, Jane, Elenor, William, James all imported from Ireland and possibly John who would have been born in the states but not proven. John Ledgerwood is first listed on the tax records 1789 in Botetourt Co. Va where William paid for his and John's this part Botetourt co., Va later becomes Montgomery Co. VA John's children are: Isabell, Joseph, William, Margaret, John L., Nathaniel, James, Mary, David, Samuel P., George and Jacob. George's children: Anderson B 1823 D. 1892 married Hester..... Hope this helps if ya know where my Annie ties into this clan please let me know...Jeff Epling

Epling of 173 Dear Jeffry, The only record I have found of George Ledgerwood was 1815 in Giles County,VA. Have you found a record of Anderson Led. there? I have found many of the Led gerwoods in the tax records of Montgomery Co. They came & went with never more than one or two each year.My only record of Annie follows: Annie Ledgerwood marr. Isaac Epling in 1804 in Montg. Bo,VA. Info. by Robert L Massard of Mass. in 1979. Mr.Massard's mother was an Epling. Source:ref 205: THE LEDGERWOOD FAMILY:Descendents of Wm. Ledgerwood,Sr. Immigrant to Augusta Co,VA. by Marion Caarter Ledgerwood, from The Fort Wayne Library, Indiana You probably have this. I'll check the Giles Co. taxes for George. alleta |
