The Frances "Fanny" Moody who married Robert Lilly in the 1760's wasn't born November 1732 in Prince George Co., Virginia. A sloppy researcher found the DEATH record for another Frances Moody, the infant daughter of Robert and Ann Moody of Prince George Co., and transformed it into the birth record of <Mary> Frances "Fanny" Moody Lilly. He/she also used the misread record to attach <Mary> Frances "Fanny" Moody Lilly to the family of Robert and Ann Moody of Prince George Co. Unfortunately, this mistake has found its way into many family trees and has been posted all over the internet.
Fanny Moody Lilly was probably born about 1745 and was probably the sister of the Moody men -- John, Thomas and Edmund -- who were on records with Robert Lilly in Albemarle and Franklin Co. (E.g., Franklin County, Virginia Deed Book 2: 72 Robert Lilly sells to Edmond Moody 100 acres for £10, January 2, 1790.) There also was a first cousin marriage between Mary "Polly" Lilly and John Moody, the son of Thomas Moody, on 17 January 1786 in Franklin County, Virginia.
