Edmund Lilly was the second child and oldest son of Robert Lilly. He was born ca. 1772 in Albemarle County, Virginia, [now Fluvanna County, Virginia] died ca. 1832, Giles County, Virginia which is now Summers County, West Virginia. His tombstone is in Crews Cemetery. See Findagrave.com. The tombstone was apparently erected at a later time so the dates cannot be relied on. It states that Edmund was in the War of 1812. According to Frank, Edmund was attached to the 8th Regimental Virginia Militia during the War of 1812. From August 1814 to October 1814 he was stationed at Camp Carter, Henrico County, Virginia. He states that the only source of birth and death dates for Edmund Lilly is family records. He is searching for actual sources. Edmund was born prior to 1774 because he is "of age" on the consent form for his marriage in 1795.
Edmund Lilly was married to Edy Meador on 20 March 1795 in Botetourt County, Virginia.
