Records of Robert Lilly of West Virginia

Robert Lilly moved to what is now West Virginia. Armiger Lilly had a son named Robert, who became a Baptist minister in Fluvanna in 1815. So the name is in the family. The DAR has a record of his furnishing supplies in Albemarle County, Virginia during the Revolutionary War and we do have various other records showing he was in the same area as Edmund.

Timeline of Robert Lilly Records: records suggest that he was born before 1745 and died soon after 1817.
Despite what has been printed so many times, Robert was not born prior to 1700.

Robert was not born in 1719. [Fraud from Gustav Anjou. If you don't know who this is, google him].

Robert Lilly is supposed to have been born 9 December 1742, died 14 March 1818, Giles County, Virginia.
