Eulalia Buttelman [her granddaughter] recalled that Florilla never laughed out loud, she only laughed silently.

On the 1900 census, her parents are listed as both having been born in Connecticut, which is wrong!

She bought land in Sec. 26 (Wp-NW) and Sec. 27 (Ep-NE), Hartland, Washtenaw County 6-29-1865. She sold the land in 1867. The records seem to indicate she was resident there.

Harold and Lesta Milne owned a mantel clock and a pie safe that had belonged to Florilla.

Pinckney Dispatch Obituary May 28, 1914

Florilla O. Fargo, born at Warsaw, New York, October 6, 1831. Married at Warsaw August 29, 1850, to Albert B. Green. They moved to Michigan in 1866 after residing in several places, they came to Pinckney in 1871 where they have ever since made their home. Mrs. Green died May 19, 1914. She left surviving her husband, seven children, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She also has two sisters living, Mrs. Lovina Snow of Warsaw, NY and Mrs. W. Parsons of St. Paul, MN. She was a faithful member of the ME Church and until infirmity came upon her was a regular attendant of all the services and Christian activities. Her principal lifes work was in her home and in her children. Funeral held from the home last Thursday, Rev. E.H. Vail of Homer, a son in law of Mrs. Green, officiated, assisted by Rev. J.W. Mitchell.

There are four cemeteries in Pinckney; three of them have been catalogued, a copy of which is in the Pinckney Public Library. Albert and Florilla do not show in the catalogue. As a note, one of the cemeteries has come to be referred to as the Pinckney Protestant Cemetery, as compared to the large Catholic cemetery in town.

I spoke with the local funeral home. Their burial records formerly were held in the Putnam Township offices. At some time Putnam officials gave the records to another organization - possibly the County Clerk's office or the Livingstone County Historical Society.

Three Old Bibles... submitted by J.C.G.S. member Gloria Kelley (now deceased)

I have three old bibles, bought at auction and yard sales. The contents doe not concern my family, perhaps you would like to publish in Lexicon [where I found it]. If anyone is interested will sell for $15.00 each, plus shipping cost. [Where the bibles went is not known. I have placed a query trying to locate.]

Relatives and friends were notified and on Mon. evening, Mrs. A.B. and Bert Greene started for above named place. On Tues. morning at nine o'clock funeral services were held, after which remains were placed on board cars and brought to this place and placed in the house of his father-in-law, A.B.
