After a long illness with asthma and lung trouble, Miss Carrie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Green, died Tuesday, 11-29-1904. Funeral will be held today (Thursday) at the home.

August 27, 1856 Abraham Lincoln speaks in Kalamazoo. Campaigning for Republican presidential candidate John C. Fremont, Abraham Lincoln arrived in Kalamazoo for a campaign rally. Lincoln spent the night before returning to Illinois. It was his only visit to Michigan.
