    SANDY---Ernest Riley Pierce, 71, 9946 Aster Ln., died Sunday, 7:30 p.m. in a Murray hospital of a heart attack.
    Born May 18, 1892, in Escalante, Garfield County, a son of Martin Riley and Harriet Peterson Pierce. Married Amy Wilkins April 2, 1915, in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Retired from 16 years with the Department of Interior on the Boulder Canyon Project. Was high priest president, in Sunday School superintendency, Roosevelt.
    Suvivors: widow, one son and four daughters, J. Dean; Mrs. Bob (Florence) Sexton, Mrs. Gawai? (Phyllis) Goodrich, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hal (Bonnie) Goodrich, Mrs. Calvin (Betty) Robbins, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and seven sisters, Mrs. Etta Bacon, Mrs. Dora Powell, both of Salt Lake City; Leonard Pierce, Las Vegas; Claude, Price; Mrs. Syrilda Munson, San Bernardino, Calif.; Mrs. Tressie Johnson, Castle Gate, Carbon County; Mrs. Vena Wells, Wellington, County; Mrs. Ada Neubert, Provo; Mrs. Elda Throckmorton, Payson.
    Funeral services Thursday noon at 4760 S. Slate St., where friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour before services at the mortuary.
