BARBARA DURGEE SERVICES ARE HELD Mrs. Barbara Durgee, aged 100, died Friday in Edgewater Nursing Home, New Hartford. She was born Sept. 22, 1867, in Nehren, Wurtemburg, Germany, daughter of John and Christine Boehm Snyder, and was brought to this country when three years old. She was educated in the Camden area schools. She and James Hamilton Durgee were married March 21, 1894 in Camden. He died Oct. 3, 1937. The couple operated the Durgee farm at Hillsboro for many years. Mrs. Durgee was a member of the old Congregational Church of Camden; attended the Hillsboro Baptist Church, was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of the church and the Hillsboro Garden Club. Surviving are two sons, John S., Utica, and J. Edmund Durgee, Camden; three daughters, Miss Christine R. Durgee, Utica, Mrs. M. Fiske (Jane) Wilkinson, Utica, and Mrs. Earl (Clara) Willis, Bernhard's Bay; 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one brother, Andrew Snyder, Camden. Funeral services were held Sunday at the E.H. McDaniels Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Francis Doerschug, former pastor of the Hillsboro Baptist Church, officiating...
